When you clean your house, you don’t just clean the surface, right? Don’t you ever sweep under the rug, vacuum under the couch, get those hard-to-reach areas where dirt and grime build up, unseen by passing glances? Well, the same goes for your body. Detox and cleansing help remove the harmful buildup of chemicals, toxins, by-products and damaged cells from free radicals that only serve to clog up the normal function of the body systems. We utilize various methods to cleanse and detox the body, ranging from gentle and mild methods, to more intensive protocols for those who are very sick. A great tool for anyone looking to get a headstart to a new, healthy life.

Exercise

Most people who exercise fail to incorporate the most essential components of a good exercise plan. A good exercise routine includes three main parts:

  • Cardio
  • Strength
  • Flexibility

The thread that connects all of these is that for exercise to be truly effective, you must keep your heart rate up. Target heart rates vary based on age and gender, but for maximum stress reduction, calorie burning, muscle formation and to minimize plateauing, you must keep your heart rate elevated for at least 25 minutes.

In addition, there are also key stretches and exercise that can help with pain and discomfort.

Health & Wellness Coaching

We all need to be reminded, kept on track, held accountable. You know you should eat right and exercise, but do you? Do you get distracted, discouraged, forgetful of how far you’ve come sometimes? A good coach will help with all of these things, as well as provide expert advice in their area of expertise. We work with individuals and corporations, coaching people to better health.

Many studies have been done on the effectiveness of corporate wellness programs. The RAND corporation found that while less than half of all employees will opt to participate, the ones who do will make significant improvements in reduction of health care costs as well as utilization. Some studies have shown as much as a 9:1 return on investment when it comes to corporate wellness programs, with factors such as less sick days, less injury, higher employee morale and savings on group health care premiums, proving that it is the financially smart decision for any company.

We offer presentations not just for our corporate wellness clients, but for most groups or organizations looking for a speaker. Presentation topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Stress reduction
  • Nutrition
  • Chiropractic for more than just pain
  • Pediatric/prenatal health and wellness
  • How to get the most from your exercise
  • Intro to Wellness
  • The Autoimmune Battle: a four step approach to relief

Stress Reduction

No one can rid themselves of all their stress. What they can do, however, is improve the body’s ability to adapt to stress. Failure to adapt to stress causes all kinds of problems. Five of the top seven causes of death in this country are stress-related conditions, and, by definition, are preventable. The CDC tells us that chronic disease accounts for 75 percent of total healthcare costs. Intense exercise is one of the best ways to adapt to the stress your body experiences on a daily basis. Many research studies are also showing that by keeping the spinal joints moving and keeping pressure off of the spinal nerves, there is a direct and an indirect effect on stress levels.
