Animals deserve to live life well, too! Which is why we’ve teamed up with Dr. Michelle Elgersma, DVM, CVA, to offer help to your four-legged friends. We will be offering chiropractic and acupuncture services for animals two days per month. Dogs, cats, whatever your pet, bring them in. We offer a complete line of veterinary supplements for dogs, cats and horses.
Acupuncture is just as safe for your pet as it is for you, if practiced by a trained veterinary practitioner. It works to support traditional veterinary medicine so that both pets and owners can rest easier. It can also be used in place of drugs or treat conditions that can not be helped by medication.
Conditions it helps:
- Musculoskeletal disease
- Organ dysfunction
At your pet’s first appointment, we will review their medical history, behavior, and body functions. We will inspect their tongue and pulse and place their acupuncture needles. Visits typically last from 30 to 90 minutes. The number of treatments needed varies, but patients who usually show positive reaction from initial weekly treatments can increase time between sessions, from once a month to every two to three months.
